MVNO Global initiative has announced its efforts to consolidate already operating Europe's virtual mobile operators (MVNO's) in order to create Pan Europe alternative mobile operator. Consolidation will be performed through creating brand new type of "EU company" - The European Company; "Societas Europaea" or SE and performed by horizontal consolidation merger.

Trade body the MVNO Global Initiative has announced plans to launch a European technical platform with the aim of consolidating MVNOs. The body plans to set up the platform through a European company "Societas Europaea." A first stage of project analysis will be conducted on 15 EU countries to establish key players and select those to be involved in the creation process.
